Our Party Liaison has over 13 years experience DJing events, running lighting & effects and has the answer for your specific event, be it for a UV glow party, ambience lighting for a wedding or corporate event, Halloween spooky lighting & effects or colourful disco lighting for a non-stop dance floor party.
Yes not everyone knows DJ, so if you are looking to hire DJ and audio equipment for your event but don’t know the lingo, our Party Liaison will help you with your needs in a language you understand.
Yes absolutely. There is a plethora of lighting and effects available, and depending on the atmosphere you would like to set, and your budget, our party liaison can help you create a package that best aligns with your party atmosphere ideal.
The person who made the booking must be present. Please have your Australian drivers licence or passport and the credit card used for the security deposit.
Luckily for you, hiring equipment costs only a fraction of the price versus buying it outright. When hiring, we know you will look after the equipment and treat it like your own, keeping it safe until it’s return. We thank you for respecting our equipment and upon return your security deposit will be refunded. The deposit and Terms & Conditions is simply our protection against misuse during the hire. If in advance you know the hire will be a late return, please let us know at time of booking and we will work out a plan. If return is late without prior notification, the booking will incur the same full charge for every single day it is late until its return. We accept Internet bank transfers, Visa and Master card.
There are many variables with the hire including item specifics, delivery setup or pick up and duration of hire time etc. When you are ready to finalize, one of our team members will be in touch by phone to confirm all the details. You can pay by credit card then or we can email you the bill for paying online.
Yes. All our lighting and effects is professionally tagged and tested on a regular basis. Before hire, all items are in working order and we encourage you, should you pick up hire gear, once you have it set up, to do a test run to ensure all is functioning. If something was to fault at this early stage, we can arrange a replacement.
The smoke machine definitely improves the effects of the disco lights and sets the club atmosphere… The smoke is non-toxic. Fire alarms vary, depending on whether they are battery operated or hardwired back to base. For hardwired, we recommend isolating the alarm on the fire panel – to be completed by a professional, then contacting the fire alarm monitoring service and requesting the alarm be turned off during the event. If a false call out by the fire department occurs, the hirer will be given a bill of approximately $1600 to pay. Platinum Parties takes no responsibility for smoke machines setting off fire alarms and will not be liable for any fees or fines incurred as a result. Your Party Liaison can assist with positioning recommendations upon setup, however the hirer takes full responsibility for monitoring the effects of artifical smoke within the premises and the effect on smoke detectors.
Yes we recommend when hiring lights to have them setup on a stand. This way the lights are up and out of the way from being knocked over, also they’re secure while in your care as you are the responsible one during the time of hire. For the peace of mind, it is a small investment. The stand also gives you the best angles and directions for the lights and gives you the best coverage for your dance floor. The hire of lighting stands may incur and additional charge.

Customize your smaller intimate atmosphere and choose any 5 lights to suit your event.  Choose the lights yourself or allow our Party Liaison to offer advice and assist with the mood you’re creating.

SILVER PACKAGE – From $600

Prepare for a colour transformation! Select from 8 different colours either on static, multi colour fade or flashing party mode for spectacular effects. Ideal for all venues and events and extremely popular for wedding receptions. You can achieve the best results and a full spectrum colour transformation on a light coloured ceiling and walls.

Multi coloured, wireless, waterproof lighting effects with super bright LEDs. Ideal for indoor or outdoor use including pools, aquariums, vases, hot tubs, garden, footpath, driveway or glass cabinets.

Be it by photos or video presentation, you can be sure everyone at the party will see it from this 5 foot wide and 8 feet tall projector screen. For presentations that contain audio, be sure everyone can hear it crystal clear by adding on a powered speaker to the package.
